5:00 O'Clock club

Here is a poem I wrote on the 21/04/2020

looking for my "me time".....

Why am I waking at 5 am?

It’s happening all of the time

Too much to do or too much to think?

Or am I now losing my mind

I’m us-ually home all alone

Is it cause they’r e always around?

Who’s going to cook and mop the floor

It's becoming a bit of a grind

It’s time for bed now, put that tablet down

Is what I constantly say!

and after days of repeating this

I'm struggling not to frown

My once lovely hubby's now a grumpy git

I don't care for the tone of his sound.

I need some time to write my thoughts

like a clock that needs to unwound

It's 8 o'clock , they’ll soon be up

I’d better go see to it then

Then it’s home schooling kid, dinner then bed

which suits me right down to the ground

Corona Corona will you please go away as this is becoming a bore

Or can they please hurry up with the finding a cure

and put an end to the lockdown.
