At the end of the day, we must take care of ourselves. Things do not just fall out of the sky.

At the end of the day, we must take care of ourselves. Things do not just fall out of the sky.

Sometimes life happens to us. The classic example is the Covid crisis that suddenly sprung upon us.

Over the last 10 years being a stay at home mum, I had plenty of quiet time. The first few years, it was a journey of self discovery, having to deal with issues and situations, I never envisaged.

There were many challenges to over come I found a way of giving from a half empty cup. It helped me finetune my strengths and weaknesses to the point I knew myself so well I knew exactly what I was capable of.

So when covid happened, I applied the same formulae. I decided to use this time effectively since now my husband was working from home. Getting used to the new dynamic forced me to get up earlier and earlier to get some time to myself. A few months of that and I was well on my way to setting up iandyoumatter. I knew back then that I was looking to promote others I saw value in, to help bring many together to join hands.

Once others came along who were in a position to help themselves, I was happy to take it to the next level. Now I look at linkedin and many of my messages are being repeated. It is a delegation that happened in it's own time. Now I feel like I can concentrate more on matter close to home and work on visualising my dream.

I set up my website. I am working on the font that will be used for my book of poem and for giving out recommendations. Those will be signed in person. The handwriting is beautiful ( not mine) and I can imagine it being framed and placed on the wall many top offices as a piece of art.

Is that the marketing phase 3 or for life?

Next I need to get the Magnolia Project off the ground, That seems to have been stuck. I still need to complete my accreditation on the 4D digital transformation. With so much to do and what seems to little time, prioritising this and coming to all the workshops I get invited to is something I constantly seem to be battling with and as for the DMS well. I have said that too many times, I am sorry there are simply too many and I am not sure why!

What were you doing before Covid happened and what are you doing now? Did you take control of your life?

Life is what we make of it. We can always turn a negative in to a positive once we decide. It takes dedication and hard work and it #success does not happen overnight.
