How can we #improve Education?

I'm editing the interview with John Lenhart, listening to this. Questioning #defiant or #determined. What word should we use to describe someone?

Here is something for you to #ponder about!

I do believe that #education is very #important so I am not singing along with this song.

I do think is the way we go about it is need of some #serious revision. #Children must be treated #individually according to their #uniqueness.

#Majority of the kids would benefit from #learning about handling their #emotions. In #England, many are plugged out of the bosom of their mothers as young as 9 months old and sent to #nursery where a #teenager is in #charge of 6 or more screaming kids.

Surely that traumatizes them?

Parents finish a #busy day often rushing through #traffic and rather exhausted, Some may have #trusted their child to a childminder who is tasked to take #care of them.

There is no way #nature intended for a mother to have 6 children at once.

Here in Uk this can continue until the child is 4.5, then we tell ourselves they are ready for big school.

Today I recall the first day I sent Alex to school. He was playing in a bouncing chair hanging from the door dressed in his #uniform.

A blank look on his face and how I could not even get him to stand by the door for a photo!

That was the start of a struggle I had no idea about. I was #lucky my son is #unbreakable.

Being an #Administrator#Perceiver he has a #high internal tension.

So it takes a lot to #intimidate him. We would stand up in class and say this is P00 P00 so I imagine Alex singing this song when he was in year one!

I knew all along he was developing #emotionally from that age until he was 7. Some children like my son do things in their own time.

Yes it is correct that he had me to himself #majority of the time, Though he was busy #exploring and learning through #play and his #focus was learning by himself mainly physical activities. Exploring how the light switch worked. Wanting to know where the electricity comes from. I recall having to show him the fuse box under the stairs after we lost power and due to building work in town. He must have been 2.5 back then as I do not recall him asing verbally. It was a point or sound and sheer #curiosity.

Not everyone wants to be told what to learn. Many books were flipped in the air from the moment he was born. I cannot tell you how many books we tried before I realised he only liked books that #rhymed.

How was your child when he/she was little? How were you as a child?

Ever thought about what happened to you between the ages of 3 until 7?

When did you start #school and what was your #experience of education? How tolerant were your parents? Were you #controlled as a child? Was it a #parent or simply the #system?

About Me

I write about my struggles as a mum of a highly sensitive child and dealing with the education system. Our fights over 10 years with the  broken system, who were   determined to label him Autistic and how I managed to combat this. My journey as a migrant from a mixed marriage who lived through one war and chose her maternal country in the end in pursuit of happiness.
