Pebbles
Different pebbles lay together
Indigo brown snow white and heather
Violet stones do scream and shout
Every time the sun’s about
Really black will never bellow, in fact he’s rather a mellow fellow
Somewhere for the kids to play
Is what they’re there for every day
Though pearls are handy when you’re wed
Yellow stones go best with red
Ever heard of an Acrostic #poem?
This was an assignment set by the school, to talk about diversity and inclusion, this was at the time when my little boy was in year 3. I can't say I miss those days. Especially when he hated anything to do with school.
My husband and I put our heads together on that Friday and came up with this poem. We asked our son to copy it over the weekend.
We then took off to have fun as a family day!
Why? Surely weekends are for rest? Especially when you are stuck at school all day!
Do you think this assignment is fit for a 7 year old?
