The tears of a thousand years
When you hold me in your arms and I #feel your pain
How you cry from inside as you wipe all my tears
I wish I could do away, with most of your fears
Your gentle heart so compressed
At the hands of those who feed you everyday
You confuse love with hurt so you’re seemingly glad
You can see I care, though you know not the reason
Why my rivers open up, my heart absorbs your pain
As the floods arrive, storms turns into gentlest #rain

It's too much to bear so I leave every time and space
I am floating in a sea, turbulent, choppy waves drown my tears
It is a race for the shore, looking for an escape
I reach for the paper bag in the bin
As I slowly but surely reach a #calm
The sun is shining, everything is ok
Tomorrow is another day
We will do this again and again
There is no escaping this fate
Out of control as the universe plays its game
You and I are the same, this helix seemingly so intertwined
